Award-winning company
The Thomas Edison difference
Ask an Etters electrician about the local electric utility, and the answer is not as simple as one company. Thomas Edison Electric's crews are directly employed, not subcontracted, and dispatch from their own homes across York County in fully stocked TEE vans. Etters, ZIP 17319, sits close to York Haven, 3.4 miles away, and Lewisberry, 5.9 miles from Etters.
We hold PA license PA075449 and full insurance. Family-owned and award-winning, we have completed over 37,000 jobs since 2021. Electricians pass a background check and train weekly, and we answer 24/7, 365 days a year, with a written quote before any work begins.
Met-Ed, PPL, or a borough system in Goldsboro or Lewisberry, we know who to call.
Crews dispatch from home in fully stocked TEE vans.
Aluminum branch wiring and recalled panels are familiar work near Etters.
The price is set before work starts.
Nights, weekends and holidays included.
Over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, rated 4.8 stars on Google.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Etters has no census record of its own, so we go by what is true across York County. Aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels turn up often in homes of a certain age. We correct aluminum connections and upgrade older panels to 200 amps.
Met-Ed is the main utility around Etters, with PPL, PECO and Adams Electric Cooperative serving other parts of the county. Two nearby boroughs, Goldsboro and Lewisberry, even run their own small municipal electric systems. Whichever one serves your address, we handle the disconnect and reconnect.
We also add dedicated circuits for garages and workshops, and check for amperage issues that keep tripping the same breaker. Call 717-274-2700 any hour you need us.
Permits for Etters route through the township rather than a borough office, since Etters is not its own incorporated borough. The process still runs on Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, with a third-party agency usually handling plan review and inspections on the township's behalf. We take that off your plate: filing, scheduling, and meeting the inspector when the time comes.
Met-Ed serves most of the Etters area, though PPL, PECO and Adams Electric Cooperative are active elsewhere in the county, and Goldsboro and Lewisberry each run a small borough electric system nearby. Confirming who actually bills your address is the first step before we schedule any disconnect or reconnect.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
