The Thomas Edison difference
Halifax electricians from Thomas Edison Electric cover this Dauphin County borough of 515 people, ZIP 17032, not far from Millersburg, 5.2 miles off, and Dauphin at 7.0. Halifax homes typically date to 1938, and buyers here often find ungrounded outlets, fuse boxes and 60-amp service still in place.
Our electricians are direct employees, never subcontractors, dispatching from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans. Call 717-274-2700 any hour, and we'll put the price in writing before anything starts.
Crews dispatch from their own homes across Dauphin County in stocked vans.
We ground what we can and explain what we can't.
Nights, weekends and holidays, someone answers the phone.
No number changes after the fact.
Miss the window and the dispatch fee is gone.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Ungrounded two-prong outlets are the detail most homeowners notice first, usually when a surge protector or a three-prong appliance won't sit flush. It's a sign the circuit was wired before grounding was standard, which lines up with a house from 1938. The fix depends on what's behind the wall, and we check before we quote.
Sometimes grounding an outlet is a quick job. Other times the fuse box behind it needs to go first. Circuit breaker repair and upgrades handles the panel, and electrical safety inspections tell you which outlets need attention now versus later.
Halifax issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, and like most small Dauphin County boroughs, it hires a third-party agency to review plans and inspect finished work rather than staffing its own building department. We file the permit and schedule the inspection for you.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here. A service upgrade means we coordinate a disconnect and reconnect with PPL directly. If the outage covers your whole street, that's a PPL repair. If it's only your house, that call belongs to us.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
