The typical Nescopeck home dates to 1952, and houses from that era came with knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp service and outlets with no ground wire. None of that was built for a modern kitchen, let alone central air or a car charger.
We start every visit by checking the panel and the grounding, then scope what the rest of the circuit needs. A fuse box usually becomes a breaker panel with circuit breaker repair and upgrades. As a borough, Nescopeck issues its own electrical permits, though like most Pennsylvania municipalities it works through a third-party agency for plan review and inspections rather than running that department itself. All of it falls under the state's Uniform Construction Code. We handle the filing and meet the inspector, so the paperwork never becomes your problem.
Electric service here comes from PPL Electric Utilities. A panel or meter upgrade means PPL has to disconnect and reconnect at their end, and we schedule that around your appointment.
