The Thomas Edison difference
A Nescopeck electrician from Thomas Edison Electric is never far off, because our crews already live and work around this stretch of Luzerne County. Nescopeck borough counts about 1,486 residents in ZIP 18635, with Beach Haven and Wapwallopen close by and Sugarloaf and Rock Glen a bit further out.
We're licensed under PA075449 and fully insured, with electricians who pass a background check before they ever knock on your door. Every call gets a written quote first, and if we run behind schedule, the dispatch fee comes off the bill.
Every electrician who works in your Nescopeck home has passed a background check first.
Fuse boxes, knob-and-tube remnants and 60-amp service are routine work for us, not a surprise.
Our crews already cover the borough and the towns around it.
The price is on paper before we touch a wire.
A tripped breaker at 2 a.m. still gets answered.
Ask about payment options for a bigger project like a panel swap.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The typical Nescopeck home dates to 1952, and houses from that era came with knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp service and outlets with no ground wire. None of that was built for a modern kitchen, let alone central air or a car charger.
We start every visit by checking the panel and the grounding, then scope what the rest of the circuit needs. A fuse box usually becomes a breaker panel with circuit breaker repair and upgrades. Ungrounded outlets get GFCI protection where a full rewire is not the answer yet. If a generator is on your list, we install those too. See backup generator installation.
As a borough, Nescopeck issues its own electrical permits, though like most Pennsylvania municipalities it works through a third-party agency for plan review and inspections rather than running that department itself. All of it falls under the state's Uniform Construction Code. We handle the filing and meet the inspector, so the paperwork never becomes your problem.
Electric service here comes from PPL Electric Utilities. A panel or meter upgrade means PPL has to disconnect and reconnect at their end, and we schedule that around your appointment. If the outage is out at the pole, that call belongs to PPL. If the trouble starts at your panel, that call is ours, any hour of the day.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
