The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Newmanstown electrician who isn't a subcontractor? Thomas Edison Electric's crews are directly employed and dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans across Lebanon County. Newmanstown, ZIP 17073, sits close to Richland, 2.3 miles off, Kleinfeltersville, 3.9, and Myerstown, 5.0.
We hold PA license PA075449 and full insurance, with over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021. Call 717-274-2700 any hour of any day. Every quote is written before work starts, and if we're late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Newmanstown calls go to a crew that lives in the area, never a subcontractor.
Copper wiring is standard, but 100 to 150-amp service often needs more room than it has.
We book any meter or service change directly with PPL.
No surprises once the work begins.
Nights, weekends and holidays, always answered.
PA075449, over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, financing available.

PPL Electric Utilities serves Newmanstown. A service upgrade or meter change means a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with PPL, which we set up directly. A line-side outage is PPL's repair; from the meter in, that's ours, any hour.
We also answer calls in Richland and Kleinfeltersville nearby, all part of the same coverage rather than a separate trip. Since Newmanstown's housing is newer, most calls here are about capacity rather than old wiring.
Newmanstown's homes date to 1998 on average, late enough that copper wiring is the norm. What runs out is capacity: a 100 to 150-amp panel from the late 1990s fills up fast once a heat pump, hot tub or EV charger joins the load.
The most common fix is a 200-amp panel upgrade, sized for what the house needs now, not just what it needed in 1998. Dedicated circuits for larger appliances come up often too, all priced in writing before we start.
Newmanstown is unincorporated, so the surrounding township issues the electrical permit under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As with most of Lebanon County, that township hands inspections to a third-party agency instead of running its own building department. We pull the permit and schedule the inspector, both included in your written quote.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here, and we coordinate any meter or service work directly with them.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.

Newmanstown Electrical FAQs
It's worth having one. A safety inspection checks panel capacity, grounding and any DIY work from over the years, and gives you a written list of anything that needs correcting before it becomes a buyer's question.
Sometimes, but we check the math first. A 100 or 150-amp panel can be close to its limit already. If it's short on room, a 200-amp upgrade is the usual answer, quoted in writing before we start.
We do. The surrounding township issues it under the state's Uniform Construction Code, and we handle the filing and the inspector's visit as part of the job, no extra step for you.
Local, and never subcontracted. Our electricians are directly employed and dispatch from their own homes across Lebanon County, arriving in a fully stocked TEE van ready to start.
