The Thomas Edison difference
Richland electricians from Thomas Edison Electric cover this ZIP 17087 borough in Lebanon County, home to about 1,547 people. Newmanstown is 2.3 miles off, Myerstown 2.8 and Schaefferstown 4.4, and the same crews handle all three. Nobody we send is a subcontractor. Every electrician is our own employee, and each keeps a fully stocked TEE van at home.
We carry Pennsylvania license PA075449, full insurance, and a record of over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021. The price is on paper before any tool comes out. Miss the arrival window we give you and the dispatch fee comes off. Call 717-274-2700 any hour, 24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included.
Every Richland electrician is our own employee, dispatched from home in a fully stocked van.
Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes and 60-amp services are routine work here.
Meter and service upgrades route through PPL Electric Utilities, and we schedule that end.
You see the price before any tool comes out, big job or small.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The typical Richland home dates to 1954, old enough that knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets still turn up once the cover plates come off. We start at the panel and work outward, whether that means a full circuit breaker upgrade or grounding a handful of outlets in the kitchen.
Most visits are smaller than that. A flickering hallway light, a dead outlet behind the couch, a ceiling fan that hums instead of spins, these fill our Richland schedule as often as anything bigger. A same-day safety inspection usually settles which one you are dealing with.
Richland borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Like most boroughs in Lebanon County, it leans on a third-party agency for plan review and inspection rather than staffing that department itself. We file the application, book the inspector and keep the back and forth off your plate.
PPL Electric Utilities delivers power to Richland. A panel upgrade or new meter base needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with PPL, and we arrange both ends of that. If the whole street loses power, that outage is PPL's repair. Anything from the meter inward is ours, any hour you need it.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
