The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Pennsburg electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews are our own employees, dispatching from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans, never subcontractors. Pennsburg is a borough of about 3,994 people, ZIP 18073, in Montgomery County, with East Greenville 1.2 miles away, Red Hill 1.4, Palm 3.3 and Green Lane 3.9.
The typical Pennsburg house dates to 1964, so aluminum branch wiring and a 100-amp panel sit high on our checklist. We hold PA license PA075449 and full insurance. Call 610-782-9000 any hour, holidays included, for a written quote before work starts.
Aluminum branch wiring and 100-amp panels are routine work for our crews.
A Federal Pacific or Zinsco label means a 200-amp panel, not a patch.
Every loose connection gets a rated connector, checked box by box.
Our electricians live around Pennsburg and dispatch from home in stocked vans.
Nights, weekends and holidays, with the dispatch fee waived if we run late.
PA075449, over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, financing available if you ask.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Builders working in 1964 often ran aluminum on the branch circuits. The wire still carries current fine, but the connections loosen over the years, so a warm switch plate or a flickering light is usually the first sign. Two-prong outlets round out the era, along with panels that sometimes carry a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco label.
PECO Energy Company is the primary utility in Pennsburg, though Hatfield and Lansdale boroughs run their own systems nearby, so check the name on your bill if you are ever unsure. Outages on the lines are the utility's problem. Everything from the meter in is ours.
Panel work leads the list in Pennsburg. A 100-amp panel from 1964 often has no room left, and a Federal Pacific or Zinsco label makes replacement the right call. A 200-amp panel upgrade solves both at once.
Aluminum wiring comes next, one remade connection at a time. Then come additions a 1964 house never planned for, like a home EV charger or an electrical safety inspection before a sale.
Pennsburg Borough issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, leaning on a third-party agency for plan review and inspections, like most Montgomery County boroughs. We file the permit and schedule the inspector, folded into your written quote.
PECO Energy Company serves Pennsburg, so a panel upgrade means a scheduled disconnect and reconnect at the meter, which we arrange. PECO fixes downed lines. The meter, the panel and every wire past it are ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.

Pennsburg Electrical FAQs
Yes. We answer 24/7, 365 days a year, and our electricians live around Pennsburg rather than a distant yard, arriving in fully stocked TEE vans. Call 610-782-9000 whenever the problem shows up.
Often not without an upgrade first. A Level 2 charger needs its own circuit, and a full 100-amp panel from 1964 rarely has room. We check the panel and quote a 200-amp upgrade in writing if needed.
Check your neighbors first. A whole dark block is a PECO outage. If only your house lost power, the trouble is likely inside, and that side is ours, any hour.
The panel label and wiring type top the list. A Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel needs replacement, and aluminum wiring needs every connection checked. Our safety inspection covers both, in writing.
