Aluminum branch wiring is the main thing to watch for in a Seltzer home built around 1975. Warm outlet covers, flickering lights, or a breaker that will not stay reset are the usual signs. We remake those connections with the right hardware, or run new copper where that makes more sense. A recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel gets swapped for a modern 200-amp panel instead of being patched.
