The Thomas Edison difference
Llewellyn electricians from Thomas Edison Electric dispatch from their own homes, not a call center. Llewellyn sits in Schuylkill County, ZIP 17944, between Minersville, 1.5 miles, and Mar Lin, 1.8.
We carry PA license PA075449 and full insurance, and every quote is written before work starts. Big project or small, the same trained, certified electrician shows up. Call 717-274-2700 any hour, holidays included.
Common in Llewellyn's 1938-era homes. We isolate the old wiring and replace what is no longer safe.
A 60-amp fuse panel becomes a modern breaker panel, sized for central air and everything else running today.
Whether your service comes from PPL Electric Utilities or St. Clair Borough Electric, we coordinate the utility side of the job.
Every Llewellyn electrician on our roster works directly for Thomas Edison Electric and drives a fully stocked van.
24/7, 365 days a year, and if we are late, we waive the dispatch fee.
PA075449, full coverage, and financing available if you ask.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
The median Llewellyn home dates to 1938, and knob-and-tube wiring remnants are a regular find, usually spliced into newer cable somewhere in the attic. It has no ground, and decades-old insulation turns brittle. We trace it, isolate it and replace what needs to go.
Fuse boxes and 60-amp services are common in the same houses, along with two-prong outlets that were never grounded. An electrical safety inspection sorts out which of these your house actually has, with a written price for whatever we find.
Branchdale is 2.2 miles from town center and Seltzer 2.8, with Pottsville, the county seat, at 4.5.
Ask about a permit in Llewellyn and the paperwork runs through Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, same as every other municipality in the state. What differs town to town is the inspection agency, since most townships hire a third-party firm instead of keeping their own building department. We take care of pulling the permit and scheduling that inspector.
PPL Electric Utilities serves most of Llewellyn, though St. Clair Borough Electric covers part of the area too. Either way, a service upgrade needs a disconnect and reconnect at the meter, which we book on your behalf. The utility owns the lines and the meter. We own everything from there into the house, day or night. Call 717-274-2700.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
