Usually, once we check the panel. A Level 2 charger needs its own circuit, and a 100-amp panel from 1968 often has little room left. If yours is full or recalled, we upgrade to 200 amps and coordinate with PECO.
Look outside first. A dark street means a PECO outage, and PECO handles that repair. If only your house lost power, the trouble is on your side of the meter, which is ours.
The panel brand and the branch wiring. A Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel needs replacing, not repairing, and aluminum wiring needs every connection checked. Our safety inspection covers both.
