The Thomas Edison difference
Every Gordon electrician on our roster is a Thomas Edison Electric employee first, not a subcontractor, staged out of their own home with a van already carrying what most jobs need. Gordon is a borough of 959 people in ZIP 17936, near Ashland, Locustdale and Lavelle, part of Schuylkill County.
Full insurance and PA license PA075449 cover the work, and we've completed more than 37,000 jobs since 2021. Call 717-274-2700 any hour, any day of the year. The price is written before anyone starts, and a late arrival waives the dispatch fee.
Gordon's electricians work for Thomas Edison Electric and stage out of their own homes.
Sixty-amp service, ungrounded outlets and knob-and-tube wiring are routine calls here.
We book the meter side of any upgrade directly with PPL Electric Utilities.
No work begins until the price is on paper.
24/7, 365 days a year, no blackout dates.
Insured, licensed under PA075449, with financing available.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Gordon's homes are old enough that fuse panels, 60-amp service, ungrounded two-prong outlets and leftover knob-and-tube wiring are simply what we expect to find, not a surprise. A breaker panel upgrade and outlet grounding, often caught during an electrical safety inspection, usually happen on the same visit.
We also run calls in Ashland and Girardville with the same electricians, so Gordon's coverage is not an afterthought tacked onto a bigger route.
Gordon Borough issues the electrical permit locally, but like most small boroughs, sends the inspection work to a third-party agency instead of keeping its own inspector on the payroll, all under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. We file the permit and coordinate the inspector's visit.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility for Gordon. A neighborhood-wide outage is PPL's to repair. Everything from the meter into your home, day or night, is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
