Gordon's homes are old enough that fuse panels, 60-amp service, ungrounded two-prong outlets and leftover knob-and-tube wiring are simply what we expect to find, not a surprise. A breaker panel upgrade and outlet grounding, often caught during an electrical safety inspection, usually happen on the same visit.
We also run calls in Ashland and Girardville with the same electricians, so Gordon's coverage is not an afterthought tacked onto a bigger route.
Gordon Borough issues the electrical permit locally, but like most small boroughs, sends the inspection work to a third-party agency instead of keeping its own inspector on the payroll, all under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. We file the permit and coordinate the inspector's visit.
