The Thomas Edison difference
Lavelle electricians with Thomas Edison Electric cover both of the town's ZIP codes, 17943 and 17921, plus Schuylkill County around it. Locustdale is 1.5 miles from the center of town, Ashland 3.0 and Gordon 3.2.
We are licensed under PA075449, fully insured, and family owned. Every electrician we send is a Thomas Edison Electric employee, not a subcontractor, dispatching from home in a fully stocked van. Call 570-648-8800 any hour, and the quote is in writing before work starts.
Lavelle spans 17943 and 17921, and the same local electricians answer calls in both.
Two-prong outlets from the 1950s get a real ground or GFCI protection, to code.
A lot of Lavelle homes still run on a small fuse box. We size the new panel for what the house needs now.
Our electricians are directly employed, dispatching from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans.
The price is on paper before work starts, big job or small.
PA075449, full insurance, and if we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
A lot of Lavelle's housing stock goes back to the 1950s, and ungrounded two-prong outlets are still common in kitchens, bedrooms and basements alike. We replace them with grounded outlets or GFCI protection, whichever the circuit calls for.
Knob-and-tube remnants and old fuse boxes turn up in the same houses, often behind a wall nobody has opened in decades. A fuse box that still runs the whole house usually means a 60-amp service, which struggles with central air or an electric range. We upgrade those to a breaker panel built for modern loads.
We also cover Girardville, 6.2 miles out, along with Pitman and Branchdale at 7.3 each.
Electrical permits in Lavelle go through Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, the same as anywhere else in the state. The township contracts the plan review and inspection out to a third-party agency rather than staffing its own building department, which is standard for a town this size. We handle the permit and meet the inspector so you do not have to.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here. A panel upgrade or new service needs a disconnect and reconnect at the meter, and we schedule both with PPL directly. Storm damage to the lines is PPL's repair. Anything from the meter into the house, any hour, is ours. Call 570-648-8800.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
