A lot of Lavelle's housing stock goes back to the 1950s, and ungrounded two-prong outlets are still common in kitchens, bedrooms and basements alike. We replace them with grounded outlets or GFCI protection, whichever the circuit calls for.
Knob-and-tube remnants and old fuse boxes turn up in the same houses, often behind a wall nobody has opened in decades. A fuse box that still runs the whole house usually means a 60-amp service, which struggles with central air or an electric range. We upgrade those to a breaker panel built for modern loads.

Electrical permits in Lavelle go through Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, the same as anywhere else in the state.
