The Thomas Edison difference
Looking for a Greentown electrician who actually lives in the area? Thomas Edison Electric's crews are local to Pike County, and they dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans instead of a distant yard. Greentown, ZIP 18426, sits among Paupack, Tafton and Hawley, with Rowland and Tamiment a bit further out.
We are a family owned, multigenerational company, licensed in Pennsylvania under PA075449 and fully insured. Every electrician on our crew has passed a background check before stepping into a client's home. Call 215-227-7000 any hour of the day. The quote is in writing before work starts, and if we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
Our electricians live around Pike County and dispatch from home in stocked TEE vans.
Heat pumps, hot tubs and EV chargers push old 100 or 150-amp panels past their limit. We upgrade to 200 amps.
A service upgrade here routes through PPL Electric Utilities. We book the disconnect and reconnect.
Wooded lots lose power when trees fall. A standby generator keeps the essentials on.
The price is on paper before we start, no surprise total after.
PA license PA075449, 4.8 stars on Google, and we waive the dispatch fee if we're late.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Homes around Greentown mostly run on copper wiring, which is the easy part. The harder part is panel capacity. A 100 to 150-amp panel was plenty for a smaller electric load, then a heat pump, hot tub or EV charger shows up and the panel runs out of room. A 200-amp panel upgrade solves that for good.
Pike County is rural and heavily wooded, so trees take down lines more often than in most places during a storm. A standby generator with an automatic transfer switch keeps the well pump, the furnace and the refrigerator running through that kind of outage. Our electricians are directly employed, not subcontracted, and they dispatch from their own homes across the region, so a Greentown call gets the same crew as anywhere else in the county.
Greentown has no borough government, so the township issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Like most of Pike County, it hires a third-party agency to review plans and inspect the finished work rather than running its own building department. We pull that permit, book the inspection, and handle the walk-through so you don't have to track any of it down.
PPL Electric Utilities serves most of the area, alongside Pike County Light & Power and Penelec in parts of the county. A panel upgrade or new service needs a disconnect and reconnect at the meter, and we schedule that with whichever utility feeds your home. If a storm knocks out the lines, that call goes to them. Anything from the meter inward is ours, any hour.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
