The Thomas Edison difference
Call an Oneida electrician and you reach Thomas Edison Electric directly, not a subcontractor. Our crews live around Schuylkill County, each one dispatching from home in a fully stocked TEE van. Oneida, ZIP 18242, is home to 371 people, with Sheppton just 0.9 miles away, Nuremberg 3.3 and Zion Grove 4.4.
We hold PA license PA075449 and full insurance. Call 570-648-8800 any hour, and the quote comes in writing before work starts. If we run late, we waive the dispatch fee.
A 1938 build year means fuse boxes and knob-and-tube wiring show up often in Oneida, and we know what to look for.
Sheppton is 0.9 miles from Oneida, and both get the same crew and the same schedule.
Upgrades in ZIP 18242 run through PPL at the meter, and we handle that call.
Our electricians live around Schuylkill County and dispatch from home, never a subcontractor.
A price on paper before work starts, one outlet or a full panel.

Sheppton is close enough to Oneida to feel like one address list, and both get the identical crew and the identical schedule from us. Delano is 5.5 miles from Oneida, Ringtown 6.4, and none of that changes who shows up or how fast.
What does stay constant is the housing. A 1938 build year means a fuse box, a 60-amp service, or knob-and-tube wiring in the attic is a normal find, and a panel upgrade or communication and data line work for a home office are both routine calls.
Oneida's township handles electrical permitting under the state's Uniform Construction Code, and like most of the county, plan review and inspection get contracted out to an outside agency rather than run in-house. We manage the whole process for you, application to final sign-off, folded into your written quote.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here. Any new circuit or service upgrade needs the meter disconnected and reconnected, and we set that appointment with PPL ourselves. A downed line after a storm is their repair, a tripped breaker inside is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
