The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Thomasville electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews dispatch from their own homes across York County, not a call center, in vans stocked before they leave the driveway. Thomasville sits in ZIP 17364, between York New Salem, 3.7 miles off, and Spring Grove, 3.8 miles the other way, with York 6.4 miles out.
We're family owned, multigenerational and licensed under PA075449, fully insured. Electricians here are direct employees, never subcontractors, and each clears a background check first. Dial 717-274-2700 any hour: price in writing first, and if we run behind, the dispatch fee is waived.
Every Thomasville call goes to a Thomas Edison electrician on payroll, never a subcontracted truck.
Vans carry breakers, wire, outlets and fixtures for same-day work.
Loose aluminum branch connections get proper copper pigtails, not a patch.
Nothing starts until you approve the price in writing.
Miss the window and the dispatch fee disappears.
Licensed, covered and rated well across York County.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Thomasville has no census record of its own, so we won't state a population or build year here. Across York County, aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels turn up often, and Thomasville's older houses tend to fit that pattern.
Met-Ed supplies the power here, and service upgrades or meter moves get scheduled around its process. Outages on the lines outside are Met-Ed's to fix. What happens from the meter into the house is on us.
A dedicated circuit for a shop or shed is common work here, along with ceiling and attic fan installs each summer, and a lighting safety check for older fixtures.
Electrical permits here go through the township, under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of York County, plan review and inspection usually runs through a third-party agency rather than an in-house building department. We handle the paperwork and book the inspection.
Met-Ed is the electric utility that serves Thomasville. A panel upgrade needs a disconnect and reconnect at the meter, and we coordinate both with Met-Ed. If the power's out from a downed line, that's Met-Ed's repair. Anything past the meter is ours to fix.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Jimmy made the service call easy. After describing our issue, 2 min max, he already knew what was wrong. He quickly identified, found, and fixed the offending GFI. After years of using Thomas Edison Electric we always refer them to friends and family.

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
