The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Thompson electrician? Thomas Edison Electric covers this small Susquehanna County borough of 327 people, ZIP 18465, near Jackson, Susquehanna and Gibson. Thompson's homes date mostly to 1938, among the oldest housing stock in Susquehanna County.
Knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60-amp services and ungrounded outlets are still common at that age. The county is rural and heavily wooded, sitting in the Northeast Pennsylvania snowbelt. Our electricians dispatch from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans. Call 215-227-7000 any hour.
Generators sized for the snowbelt's longer multi-day outages, not a quick afternoon flicker.
Knob-and-tube remnants and ungrounded outlets get fixed under one written scope.
Thompson gets the same licensed, insured crew as any larger town nearby.
Electricians live in the area and drive fully stocked TEE vans from home.
The quote is approved before we touch a panel or an outlet.
24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
An older fuse box paired with a long winter outage is a rough combination, and it's a common one in Thompson. A standby generator with an automatic transfer switch takes the guesswork out of the next multi-day outage, especially on a panel that already needs attention.
We handle the panel itself too. Knob-and-tube remnants and ungrounded outlets found during that work get corrected under a code violation repair, with the full scope written down before anything opens up. Small borough or not, the process and the price are the same as anywhere else we work.
Thompson Borough's permits follow Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Like most of Susquehanna County, the borough hires a third-party agency to review plans and inspect the work instead of keeping an in-house building department. We file that permit and schedule the inspection around your day.
PPL Electric Utilities supplies most of Thompson, with Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative serving parts of the surrounding township. A generator or panel project means coordinating with whichever one serves the address, and we make that call. Line repairs after a storm are the utility's job. The panel and everything behind it are ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
