The Thomas Edison difference
Unity House electricians from Thomas Edison Electric know that breakers tripping over and over usually mean it's time to check the panel, not just reset the switch. Our crews dispatch from home in fully stocked TEE vans across this stretch of southern Pike County. Unity House, ZIP 18373, sits about a mile from Tamiment and 4 miles from Bushkill.
We're trained, certified and licensed under PA075449, with full insurance behind every job. Big projects and small jobs both get the same crew, 365 days a year. Call 610-782-9000 whenever something goes wrong, and expect the price in writing before we start.
Breakers that trip under normal use usually point to a panel that has run out of capacity.
We size the new panel to the load your home actually draws, heat pump and EV charger included.
No subcontractors. Our crew dispatches from home with the parts for same-visit work.
Service upgrades and meter work scheduled directly with PPL Electric Utilities.
Every electrician we send has the training and certification behind the visit.
Big or small, the price is in writing and the dispatch fee is waived if we're late.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
Amperage issues are common in this part of Pike County, where copper wiring is standard but the panel size is not always. A 100 to 150-amp panel manages the basics fine, then a heat pump, hot tub or EV charger gets added and breakers start tripping under a load they were never sized for. A panel upgrade to 200 amps usually solves it.
Pike County's wooded terrain means storms take down more lines here than in flatter parts of the state. Our electricians are directly employed, not subcontracted, and dispatch from their own homes across the region, which keeps response times steady whether the call comes from Unity House or anywhere else nearby.
In Unity House, electrical permits are issued by the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of Pike County, the township contracts a third-party agency to handle plan review and inspections instead of running its own building department. We manage that process end to end: the application, the scheduling, and standing with the inspector on-site.
PPL Electric Utilities supplies most homes here, with Pike County Light & Power and Penelec covering other areas of the county. Any job that touches the meter, a new service or a panel swap, needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with your utility. We arrange that so the timeline stays in your control, not theirs.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
