Waverly's small size does not mean newer wiring. The median home here dates to 1951. That is old enough for fuse panels instead of breakers, 60-amp service, and outlets built without a ground wire. A leftover run of knob-and-tube in an untouched attic is not out of the ordinary either.
Each of those gets handled on its own terms. A fuse panel steps aside for a breaker panel upgrade sized for a modern kitchen. Bare outlets get grounded, or fitted with GFCI protection instead. Live knob-and-tube gets isolated or pulled out, with the price agreed to first. A tired ceiling fan or two usually comes up in the same visit.

Waverly's electrical permits go through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. As in most of the county, a third-party agency typically handles the actual inspection. Getting that permit pulled and the inspection booked is on our side of the job, already built into your written quote.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here, holding the poles, lines and meter. New work often needs a meter disconnect, and PPL handles that reconnect too. We are the ones who schedule it, timed around our own visit.
