Bowers is one of the smaller communities we cover, but the era of its homes still runs to about 1938, so knob-and-tube remnants, fuse boxes, 60 amp services and ungrounded outlets are common finds.
Old fuse boxes are the main thing we swap out, for a proper breaker panel sized to modern use. Where outlets were never grounded, GFCI protection covers the gap without opening up the wall. Ceiling fan installs and repairs round out plenty of our visits too.
Bowers is a small, unincorporated place, so its permits run through the township under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code. Most Berks County townships hand plan review and inspection to a third-party agency rather than staffing their own building office. We take care of the paperwork so you don't have to chase it down.
