Award-winning company
The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Maxatawny electrician? Thomas Edison Electric's crews cover Berks County, including this ZIP 19538 community of about 49 residents, one of the smallest we serve. Mertztown and Topton both sit 2.8 miles away, with Bowers and Kutztown close by.
We're a family-owned, award-winning company, licensed under PA075449 and fully insured. Electricians here dispatch from home in fully stocked TEE vans, never as subcontractors. Call 610-782-9000 any hour, with a written quote before work starts.
Maxatawny's roughly 49 residents still get a direct-employee electrician in a fully stocked TEE van.
Met-Ed, PPL or Kutztown Borough Electric, we confirm which one serves your address.
Aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels and recalled panels are common fixes nearby.
The price is on paper first, every time.
Nights, weekends and holidays included, with the dispatch fee waived if we're late.
PA075449, over 37,000 jobs completed since 2021, 4.8 stars on Google, financing available.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Maxatawny may be small, but the electrical work here matches the rest of the county. Older homes nearby typically mix aluminum branch circuits with a 100-amp panel and two-prong outlets, and a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel isn't unusual either. A full safety inspection is a simple way to find out where a specific house stands, often before a remodel or a custom lighting project begins.
Met-Ed, part of FirstEnergy, and PPL Electric Utilities both reach this part of the county, and homes closer to Kutztown may instead sit on that borough's own municipal system. We confirm the right utility before scheduling any upgrade or meter work.
Maxatawny's electrical permits fall under Pennsylvania's statewide Uniform Construction Code, and the local township brings in a third-party agency for plan review and inspection rather than staffing it themselves. We handle the filing, the scheduling and the on-site walkthrough so none of that lands on you.
Depending on the exact address, Met-Ed, PPL Electric Utilities or Kutztown's municipal system may serve your meter here. A panel upgrade or new service size needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with whichever applies, which we handle as part of the booking. Line damage is the utility's repair. The panel, wiring and outlets inside the house are ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
