The Thomas Edison difference
Need a Lyon Station electrician? Thomas Edison Electric works all across Berks County, and this ZIP 19536 spot next to Bowers, just 0.9 miles off, is well inside that territory. Kutztown, Topton and Fleetwood are close by as well.
Every electrician we send is a direct employee, licensed under PA075449 and fully insured, dispatching from home in a fully stocked TEE van rather than a subcontractor's truck. Call 610-782-9000 any hour, and expect a written quote before work begins.
Met-Ed, PPL or Kutztown Borough Electric, we confirm which serves your address and handle it.
Lyon Station calls go to a direct employee driving a fully stocked TEE van from home.
Aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels and recalled panels are common work in this corner of the county.
No work begins until the price is approved on paper.
Nights, weekends and holidays included, with the dispatch fee waived if we run late.

Lyon Station sits close enough to Kutztown that some addresses fall on the borough's own municipal power grid, Kutztown Borough Electric, rather than Met-Ed or PPL Electric Utilities. We confirm which of the three actually feeds your meter before scheduling any utility-side work.
Older homes in this corner of the county typically run on a 100-amp panel with aluminum branch wiring and two-prong outlets, occasionally paired with a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel. That combination is what we expect to find on a first visit, and it decides whether an EV charger can go straight in or needs a panel upgrade first. We also check for amperage issues before signing off on any new load.
Electrical permitting around Lyon Station happens at the township level under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, with plan review and inspections contracted to a third-party agency rather than handled in-house, as with most townships in the county. We take that paperwork off your plate and make sure the inspection gets scheduled and attended.
Utility service here can come from Met-Ed, PPL Electric Utilities, or Kutztown's own municipal system, depending on the exact address. A panel upgrade or service change means a scheduled disconnect and reconnect with whichever one applies, and we build that into the job. Line repairs belong to the utility. Everything from the meter in is ours.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!
