Across Northampton County, homes from Flicksville's era often still have aluminum branch wiring, 100-amp panels, two-prong outlets and, now and then, a recalled Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel. It's familiar territory for us, not a rare find.
Where aluminum wiring is the culprit, we terminate it with connectors built for that job rather than leaving it as is, and a panel past its prime gets swapped for one sized correctly. An electrical safety inspection is worth booking first if the house has never had one. Ackermanville is a mile off, with Bangor and Pen Argyl close by too.
We pull the permit before we start any job that needs one. Flicksville has no borough hall, so the surrounding township handles electrical permits under the state's Uniform Construction Code, almost always through a third-party inspection agency it contracts with. You never have to track down who to call.
PPL Electric Utilities is the utility here. Bigger jobs, a new meter base or a heavier service, require PPL to disconnect and reconnect, and we're the ones who set that appointment. A storm-damaged line outside is on PPL. Once the power crosses the meter into your house, it's our territory.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
