The Thomas Edison difference
Martins Creek electricians at Thomas Edison Electric serve ZIP 18063, a small community built up mostly around 1948, between Stockertown and Easton in Northampton County.
Our electricians are direct employees, not subcontractors, dispatching from their own homes in fully stocked TEE vans. We hold PA license PA075449, carry insurance, and answer 610-782-9000 any hour, any day. Every job comes with a written price first.
Knob-and-tube segments and fuse boxes are routine finds for us here.
No subcontractors, just electricians dispatching from their own homes.
Not sure what's in the walls? We check it and quote it in writing.
Meter and service upgrades get scheduled with PPL on our end.
610-782-9000 reaches us nights, weekends and holidays.
4.8 stars on Google, with financing available if needed.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Most houses in Martins Creek were built around 1948, and that vintage tends to come with knob-and-tube wiring remnants, a fuse box, 60-amp service and outlets with no ground wire at all.
We trace and replace live knob-and-tube wiring, swap fuse boxes for properly sized breaker panels, and ground the outlets that need it. An electrical safety inspection is a good first step if you're not sure what's behind the walls. Stockertown is 4.5 miles off, Easton 6.8.
Because Martins Creek has no borough hall, its permits move through the township instead, under the same Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code every municipality here follows, usually with a third-party agency handling the actual inspection. We take that off your hands entirely, from the initial filing to standing with the inspector on inspection day.
PPL Electric Utilities runs the lines into Martins Creek. Any job that changes your service size, like a panel or meter base upgrade, needs a PPL disconnect and reconnect, which we schedule on your behalf. PPL owns the outages and the downed lines. We own everything past the meter.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Mike from Thomas Edison Electric replaced our out-of-service-life whole-house surge protectors and repaired a lighting fixture for our deck. He did an excellent professional job. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. I highly recommend Mike.
