Most Ackermanville homes went up in the early 1970s, squarely in the aluminum branch-wiring years. A 100-amp panel was standard then, two-prong outlets were normal, and a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel is not unusual to find still in service.
We remake loose aluminum connections with rated connectors, or rewire where that is the better fix. Grounding two-prong outlets and adding GFCI protection is routine. A 200-amp panel upgrade replaces a recalled panel and adds room for a heat pump or EV charger at the same time.
Ackermanville's township issues electrical permits under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, and like most of Northampton County it uses a third-party inspection agency rather than running its own building department. We file the permit, schedule the inspection and are on site when the inspector arrives, all part of your written quote.
PPL Electric Utilities serves most of Ackermanville, with Met-Ed also present elsewhere in Northampton County. A panel upgrade or new meter base needs a scheduled disconnect and reconnect, which we arrange directly. Storm damage to the lines outside is the utility's repair. Everything from the meter into the house, aluminum wiring included, is ours.
