Yes. Most 2004-era homes have panel capacity for a Level 2 charger, but we confirm that with a load check first. If the panel needs more room, we quote a service upgrade in writing and coordinate the meter work with PPL.
Rarely from the original wiring. The risk usually comes from adding too much load onto a panel sized for 2004. A quick amperage check tells us whether there's room before we add anything new.
PPL Electric Utilities owns the lines and restores outages on their side of the meter. If your street is dark, that's their call. If it's just your house, that's ours, 24/7, holidays included.
