PPL Electric Utilities is the primary electric utility across Lehigh County, with Met-Ed serving some areas. You might upgrade your service, add an EV charger that pushes past the existing panel, or replace a meter base. Either way, we arrange the disconnect and reconnect with your utility. What the utility owns stops at the meter; what we service starts there.

Under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, each town issues its own electrical permits in Lehigh County. Most of them contract with a third-party inspection agency rather than running a building department. Allentown, Bethlehem, Emmaus and Whitehall can each have a different application, fee schedule and inspector. We know the drill. Pulling the permit and scheduling the inspection are part of every job. Your written quote includes both.
For utility matters, most of the county is PPL Electric Utilities territory and some of it is Met-Ed. Service upgrades and meter base replacements require a disconnect and reconnect on their schedule. We arrange it so your home is without power for the shortest practical time. If your whole street loses power, call your utility. If the problem is inside your house, that is what our 24/7 line is for.

Yes. Our Lehigh County electricians live around the area and leave from their own homes in stocked TEE vans. We still do not quote arrival times. Traffic and the previous job are unpredictable. Instead, we give you a realistic window. If we miss it, we waive the dispatch fee.
Maybe. A house built around 1968 often has a 100-amp service. A Level 2 charger is a big new load on top of everything else. We run a load check first. If the existing panel has room, we add the circuit. If not, we quote a 200-amp upgrade in writing and coordinate it with PPL or Met-Ed.
Yes. Slatington, New Tripoli, Schnecksville, Orefield and Neffs are all part of our Lehigh County coverage. Allentown, Bethlehem, Emmaus and Whitehall are too. Our 24/7 line covers all of them, 365 days a year. The written quote and permit process are identical wherever you are in the county.
