The Thomas Edison difference
Slatedale is one of the smallest places we cover, population 303, but a Slatedale electrician from Thomas Edison Electric treats it like any other stop on the route. ZIP 18079 sits close to Slatington and Germansville in Lehigh County, with Neffs and New Tripoli further out. Our own electricians handle every call here, not a subcontractor filling in.
Slatedale's houses date to around 1938 on the median, so fuse boxes, 60-amp service and knob-and-tube remnants are what we expect to find, not what surprises us. We're licensed under PA075449 and insured, answering 24/7, 365 days a year, with a written quote before anything starts.
Slatedale gets the same licensed crew as anywhere else we work.
Fuse boxes and 60-amp service are routine for us.
Old service replaced with 200-amp capacity and modern breakers.
We fix what's out of date and document it properly.
24/7, 365 days a year, holidays included.
Miss the window and the dispatch fee is waived.
We're dedicated to building lasting relationships with every client through exceptional service and guaranteed results.

Transparent pricing means written quotes with no surprises.
A 1938 build year means the wiring rarely matches what a modern household needs. Ungrounded two-prong outlets, a fuse box instead of a breaker panel, and 60-amp service that can't handle central air and a car charger at once are the norm around Slatedale, not the exception.
Most of our visits start with a panel upgrade, moving the house to 200 amps with modern breakers. If an inspection turns up wiring that no longer meets code, we quote the correction in writing and pull the permit ourselves. Slatington and Germansville see the same process.
Slatedale's permits fall under Pennsylvania's Uniform Construction Code, handled through the township, which like most of Lehigh County typically relies on a third-party inspector instead of its own building department. We take on the filing and the inspection scheduling as part of the job.
PPL Electric Utilities powers Slatedale, and Met-Ed serves other pockets of the county. A panel replacement or new service means we coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with PPL directly. A wider outage is on PPL to restore. Anything from the meter into your house, any hour, is on us.
Our Pennsylvania and New Jersey experts are ready to resolve your electrical woes.

Absolutely thrilled with our electrician Dennis! He was very knowledgeable and polite. Made this process very easy and stress free. We had two light fixtures put in along with an exhaust fan, cleaned up after and everything. Highly recommend this company and their electrician!

Had a great experience with Michael Van for my initial inspection/walk-through and Steve P and the crew with the install. All of them, including the employees on the phone, were polite and prompt, and I'm very satisfied with my new electrical panel and wiring.
